I was already a huge fan of the show, so I had watched from the beginning, and I watched all the way through to the end. I had seen Mrs. Landingham, and I knew how Kathryn performed. She had that very direct delivery, and was not going to give you the time of day. I was very keen and very aware that I wanted to do her well, and give her a good send off. I knew how she moved. I knew when she chose to do eye contact, and when she wouldn’t. It’s like when you pick up on other little quirks, like when Martin Sheen puts his jacket on. Like that, I could see how Kathryn moved: very straight-backed, and everything was very tight. When she moved it was very conscious. She made it really easy, but it was hard at the same time, because I wanted to make sure that I did her justice, and that it didn’t come off as a caricature.
